GOALS OF THE PROJECT
Support and creation of new networks and partnerships in order to mutual preservation and development of the cultural heritage and historic values of the legacy of Björnstjerne Björnson - one of the most renowned advocate of political, social-economic and cultural process in Europe.
DESCRIPTION
The City of Košice aiming at preservation of the cultural heritage, will honour through a monument the important Norwegian historical personality, laureate of the Nobel Prize for literature, Björnstjerne Björnson. The art of work – monument will be a result of a public architectonic competition – tender of proposals where the Jury will choose the most suitable proposal for implementation of the planned monument. The Partner of the city of Kosice will be the Norwegian government organization dealing with art in public spaces – KORO/ Public Art Norway who will fully participate in the proceedings of creation of the artistic monument. The cooperation with the Norwegian partner is the necessary condition for strengthening the bilateral relationships and for the successful implementation of the project.

- Ecumenical celebration at unveiling of the monument
